VIDEO PREMIILE GRAMMY 2012: Adele a câştigat cele mai multe distincţii printre care albumul şi melodia anului

Ediţia a 54-a a Premiilor Grammy a fost deschisă, duminică seara, de formaţia Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, care a cântat noul single "We Take Care of Our Own". Prezentatorul LL Cool J a urcat apoi pe scenă şi a cerut colegilor şi prietenilor din sală să ţină un moment de reculegere în memoria celei care a fost Whitney Houston. "Avem un deces în familie, iar un asemenea moment zic eu că trebuieînceput cu o rugăciune"

Mulţi dintre cei care au urcat pe scenă, câştigători sau vedete care au înmânat premiile, au vrut să o amintească în discursul lor pe deţinătoarea a şase premii Grammy, Whitney Houston.

Artistul Sean "Diddy" Combs a dezvăluit că a fost literalmente şocat de veste. "Ne întâlnim des unii cu alţii, însă nu ne dăm ocazia de a ne spune cât de mult de apreciem. Vreau să dăruiesc toata iubirea şi respectful meu tuturor celor care sunteţi aici. Vreau să spun lucrul acesta chiar acum deoarece, după cum puteţi vedea, mâine nu se ştie ce se va întâmpla", a spus cântăreţul de R&B.

Primul premiu al serii, pentru cea mai bună melodie pop a fost atribută lui Adele, cu "Someone like you". Cântăreaţa, care a urcat pe scenă de şase ori, a spus pe scenă că mulţumirile ei "merg către medicii care mi-au readus vocea".
